We remember the 400 courageous women who served as military nurses during World War I and tragically lost their lives during the Spanish flu epidemic. We honor the memory of the 543 women who died while serving in World War II, the 38 Women Air Force Pilots who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the 160 female service members who gave their lives during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
