Memorial Day is a time when we come together to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is a day to reflect on the bravery, dedication, and selflessness of these individuals who gave their lives in defense of our country and its values. As part of The Brave Girl Project, it is important to recognize and remember the brave women who have served and paid the ultimate price.

The Fearless Readers of The Brave Girl Tribe are immensely grateful for the incredible women, both past and future, who selflessly serve our country. Their unwavering dedication, sacrifice, and bravery leave an indelible mark on our hearts and inspire us to strive for greatness. We pause to reflect on the extraordinary contributions made by these remarkable individuals, recognizing the immense impact they have had on our nation's history and the ongoing fight for freedom and justice.

To the brave women who have paved the way before us, we extend our deepest appreciation. On Memorial Day at 3:00 p.m., our nation observes a moment of remembrance. As we pay tribute to those who died during service, we also think of the brave women who made significant contributions. We remember the 400 courageous women who served as military nurses during World War I and tragically lost their lives during the Spanish flu epidemic. We honor the memory of the 543 women who died while serving in World War II, the 38 Women Air Force Pilots who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the 160 female service members who gave their lives during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

To the future women who will step forward to serve, we eagerly await your arrival with open arms. Your determination, passion, and unwavering spirit will shape the path ahead, writing a new chapter in our nation's history. Your voices will be heard, your actions will inspire, and your contributions will leave an indelible impact on our society. We stand ready to support and uplift you as you embark on this noble journey, understanding that your presence will further enrich the fabric of our nation and pave the way for a brighter future.
